Dr. Belsky has practiced hand and upper extremity surgery since 1981. He treats all conditions, diseases, and injuries that affect the elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand for patients from birth through their elderly years. Medical problems he treats include, but are not limited to, arthritis, nerve entrapments, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, fractures, joint, tendon, nerve, and vascular injuries, and infections, Dr. Belsky has a special interest in sports injuries of the hand and elbow, thumb arthritis, Dupuytren's Disease, and resistant tennis elbow. Dr. Belsky is currently the hand surgery consultant, along with his associate Dr. Matthew Leibman, to the Boston Red Sox.

Dr. Belsky is active in academic medicine, hospital governance, and his community. He has published more than 30 articles and chapters about diseases and injuries of the hand and elbow. He has given more than 50 lectures to the local, regional, national, and international medical communities. Dr Belsky is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.   National and international organizational memberships include: American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. He has served as Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Orthopaedics and as Governor of the American College of Surgeons.
During his 25 year tenure at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Dr. Belsky he has been President of the Medical Staff and chairman of numerous committees. His current leadership positions at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital include Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Belsky serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Family and Children's Services of greater Boston. He has a special interest in providing services for people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations.
Dr Belsky grew up in New Jersey where he attended Highland Park High School. He received his BS degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his MD Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. After his surgical internship at NYU-Bellevue Hospital in New York, and his surgical residency at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, he completed orthopaedic residency and microsurgery fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He completed his Hand Surgery Fellowship at Roosevelt Hospital in New York under the mentorship of Richard Eaton and the late. J. William Littler.  
Dr. Belsky's hobbies include fly fishing, road biking, golf, and photography. He lives in the western suburbs with his wife and children.
