Dr. Matthew I. Leibman, MD
Dr. Leibman treats all types of upper extremity injuries and conditions, including the elbow, wrist and hand. He has special interest in upper extremity trauma, post traumatic reconstruction and microsurgery. Dr. Leibman also specializes in pediatric upper extremity disorders.

Dr. Leibman is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedics Surgery, Inc. He was certified on 07/13/07 and will be re-certified on 12/31/2017.
Dr. Leibman has published and presented his research on topics in orthopedic and hand surgery at numerous local and national meetings. He is a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine where he teaches both medical students and orthopedic residents. He is also a member of Tufts department of orthopedic surgery and is a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
A native of New York, Dr. Leibman graduated from White Plains High School in White Plains, New York and completed his undergraduate training at Union College in Schenectady, New York. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in NYC and completed a general surgery internship at New York University. He completed his orthopedic training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in NYC where he served as an executive chief resident. He then completed the Harvard Combined Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship with world-renowned Dr. Jesse Jupiter, at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Leibman also trained with Dr. Peter Waters at Boston Children's Hospital in pediatric upper extremity disorders.
Dr. Leibman serves along with Dr. Belsky as the team Hand surgeon for the Boston Red Sox.
